Numerous contestants hail from small communities with restricted opportunities in the entertainment sector, and this program offers them a platform on a national scale. Furthermore, those who win or reach the final stages often secure recording contracts and sponsorships, assisting them in launching a professional music journey.


Additionally, there is the entertainment factor for the audience to consider. The show is thrilling, packed with emotionally charged moments, and frequently showcases inspiring narratives about the contestants. It can motivate young individuals to chase their aspirations and develop faith in their ambitions.


Arguments against 

Conversely, certain drawbacks must be taken into account. Detractors claim the focus of the show leans too heavily on interpersonal drama and contestants' backstories rather than authentic musical prowess. This can shift the emphasis from actual talent to mere popularity. Furthermore, not every participant is equipped to handle the abrupt fame, and many find it challenging to cope with the stress and scrutiny that follows the competition.


In addition, the voting method might lack fairness. With viewers casting their votes through SMS or applications, those with larger audiences may have an advantage over truly skilled vocalists. Consequently, the competition might not consistently highlight the most deserving performers.

A Journey to Kota Tua: Riding the Rails from Daru Station to Jakarta Kota Station

Weekends are made for escaping the routine. This time, I decided to go on a little nostalgic trip to Kota Tua Jakarta. Instead of taking a car, a bus, or an online ride, I chose to take the commuter line from Daru Station. It's cheaper, and honestly, there's just something different about it. Starting from Daru Station, a Calm Morning. At 9 AM, I was already hanging out at Daru Station. It's quiet, not as crowded as the stations in the city center. I tapped my card and walked in. The sound of the train slowly approaching from the distance-honestly, it always gets me excited. A Long ride, but worth the experience. The train from Daru runs on the Tanah Abang–Rangkasbitung Line. The route is quite long, but if you enjoy watching the city slowly shift from countryside to urban, this is totally worth it. I passed stations like Cicayur, Cisauk, Parung Panjang, Serpong, and eventually arrived at Tanah Abang Station. This is where I had to transfer to the line heading to Jakarta Ko...

Free Writing: Not Much, But Still

  Not Much, But Still Today I just want to write, not for anyone, just to release my full head. Today, I did everything slowly. Prepared materials for the new kindergarten kids, cutting colored paper, laying out glue, sorting toys. One by one. No rush. I even opened my uni assignment. Didn’t finish much, just made a bit of progress. But still… that counts. Strangely, I wasn’t running around, I didn’t go anywhere, yet suddenly it was already late afternoon. It felt like 11 a.m. a minute ago, then suddenly the sun was gone. I didn’t spend the day lying around. I didn’t overload myself either. But time still flew, like I was on slow mode and the clock wasn’t waiting. It kind of hurts, honestly. Not from exhaustion, but from that feeling of  "How is it night already? I just started to feel okay." But still, I moved today. Maybe not fast. Maybe not loud. But I showed up. And that matters.
